Chris is a speaker with vast knowledge of what makes a great leader. His highly practical Mach 2 leadership technique combines entrepreneurial, engaging, ethical and effective leadership. The idea is to use simple day to day actions to inspire people to maximise their performance and then to focus that onto critical deliverables for the organisation.
His uniquely practical perspective is a result of his experience as a corporate, military, and government leader. His work in the corporate sector as Global Head of Talent and Leadership at UBS includes achievements such as helping the bank transform organisational performance to increase profitability by 235% and market capitalisation by 50%. Understandably, his work at UBS is now part of a Harvard Business School Case Study on transforming organisational performance. He has worked in Government and public sectors on major change and leadership projects from UK National Health Service and local Government to London Underground PFI. Chris has also served as a military officer leading and inspiring people in challenging environments via a “serve to lead” ethos.
Through his work as executive coach and mentor, Chris advises major global organisations on transforming and growing by improving performance through people. The UK National Health Service and Government, top legal firms, global and investment banks, logistics and facilities, transport and healthcare, the Red Cross in Myanmar and even the Chinese Space Programme have all relied on his expertise. He is also Visiting Professor of Transformational Leadership at Cass Business School in London, presenting research on what delivers success. His expertise is greatly valued by the public: he has done over 350 TV interviews on leadership and business issues on several platforms such as BBC channels, CNBC, and CNN.
