My passion is helping women progress in organisations
Full Bio
As Group HR director of Merlin Entertainments plc, I set and executed the strategic HR agenda in a business with a market cap of over £4 billion, over £1 billion in annual revenues, and over 27,000 employees in 23 countries across four continents.
During my time with Merlin, I introduced leadership and assessment programmes for the executive board members and top 50 senior leaders globally; harmonised disparate policies, contracts, benefits and processes globally resulting from acquisitions; and delivered improvements in KPIs for employee engagement and staff turnover. My work was recognised with Merlin being listed as one of the Sunday Times Top 25 Best Big Companies to Work for three consecutive years and receiving a number of other industry awards. I won the ‘HR Director of the Year’ award from Personnel Today in 2012.
Since 2013 I have held a range of non-executive directorships including two positions as NED and chair of remuneration committees within UK plcs, NED of a Belgian B2B company and NED and chair of the Workforce Committee of an NHS Foundation Trust.
I was born and educated in Italy, I have lived and worked in Brussels and London. I led HR for Merlin across operations in Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and the Middle East, and prior to this lead HR for Hilton Hotels Corporation across Europe and Africa, as a result I have great experience of leading across different cultures and international teams. Following an early career in the legal sector, I have held senior executive roles in the telecoms, leisure, hospitality and retail markets.
