The People Space is delighted to congratulate seven members of our People Space Leaders network and four of our People Space Contributors for being ranked among the Most Influential Practitioners and Thinkers in HR in 2017

HR Most Influential winners

Seven members of the People Space Leaders network were announced as HR Most Influential Practitioners 2017 at a glitzy event at premier London hotel Claridge's on Monday (18 September 2017).

The People Space Leadership Board members Eugenio Pirri, chief people and culture officer at Dorchester Collection, is ranked number 7; Sheffield University chief operating officer Andy Dodman is number 9; Karen Beaven, HR director at River Island is number 12 and BBC Studios HR director Jabbar Sardar is number 17 on the HR Most Influential Practitioners list while People Space Leaders member Mandy Coalter, people director at United Learning, is in position 31.

Fellow Leadership Board members David Frost, organisational development director at Total Produce, and Darren Hockaday, HR director of Gatwick Airport, are in the Most Influential Practitioner lists for manufacturing and transport respectively. 

Meanwhile, People Space regular contributors Rob Briner, professor of organizational psychology at Queen Mary, University of London; Chris Roebuck, visiting professor of transformational leadership at Cass Business School, and Pat Wright, Thomas C Vandiver bicentennial chair, professor, Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, were announced as in the top 30 Most Influential Thinkers while professor of psychology at University College London, Adrian Furnham, was given a Lifetime Achievement award.

The annual HR Most Influential rankings, run by HR magazine and sponsored by Open University Business School, were launched in 2006 to recognise the HR practitioners and academics/thinkers that are pushing the field of human capital management forward. The People Space editorial director Siân Harrington developed and fronted HR Most Influential for 10 years before leaving its parent company last year to launch The People Space.
