Go Fly a Kite: dealing with the precarious present in business

Most organisations are not prepared for change today, let alone tomorrow. Their survival is in doubt, says Siân Harrington

From Mary Poppins to the Wright Brothers, The People Space co-founder and editorial director Siân Harrington draws on lessons from the world of work including the book Dual Transformation by Scott D Anthony to reflect on the rapid changes in the workplace and why she believes organisations are not facing up to the changes needed today, let alone tomorrow.

This TED-style talk is from the NORA ReCex Recruitment Explained event at the Leicester Sqaure Theatre in London, run by Stephen O'Donnell, chairman of the NORA Academy. The event featured a range of HR directors and recruiters including Matthew Jeffery, vice president: global head of employment brading and sourcing at SAP: Neil Morrison, then at Penguin Random House and now HR director at Seven Trent: Adele King, corporate recruitment manager at Virgin Atlantic Airways and Bill Boorman, founder of #tru Conferences and author and blogger.
